Amazon Reyes has a captivating history that began when we opened our doors in 2019. The property, which was originally a one-story building for 36 years, belonged to Juanita Valdez, one of our co-owners. Her husband, our other co-owner, saw the potential of this prime location, nestled near both the bustling heart of Iquitos and the serene Amazon River, and envisioned transforming it into a welcoming inn for travelers.
Inspired by this vision, Juanita and her husband embarked on a journey to turn Amazon Reyes into a reality. They wanted to create a space that offered both comfort and convenience for guests looking to explore the vibrant city and the majestic Amazon rainforest. The transformation began with renovations that brought new life to the old building, making it a charming and inviting place to stay.
